Saudi Environment Ministry Launches AI Voice Assistant for Nama Platform

RIYADH, September 1 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Vice Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Eng. Mansour Almushaiti launched a Smart Voice Assistant for the ministry’s Nama e-services platform during the LEAP 2026 Tech Conference.
The AI-powered assistant processes languages, dialects and voice commands, allowing users to interact with Nama through natural speech. Users can request information about service requirements, procedures and other related matters.
Deputy Minister for Information Technology and Digital Transformation Dr. Abdulhameed Aleliwi said the assistant also analyzes users’ behavior and interests to help refine digital services, improve data collection and analysis, and support decision-making.
The technology is expected to reduce the time and effort required to access and follow up on services by as much as 30% and improve the platform’s efficiency by 20%. The ministry also expects the system to reduce errors in service applications.
During the conference, Almushaiti received an award from the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) recognizing the quality of the ministry’s services delivered through the Tawakkalna application. The ministry provides 91 integrated services through the platform.
The ministry also ranked among the top 10 digital platforms in the Digital Experience Maturity Index 2026.
