RIYADH, August 17 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Saudi Arabia has become the first recipient of Formula E’s Best Host Country award, introduced to recognize the championship destination setting the leading standard for event delivery.


The award was presented at the Formula E End of Season Awards 2025/26 ceremony in London on Sunday evening. Its criteria cover event organization, infrastructure development, and the creation of partnerships.


Saudi Arabia has hosted FIA-sanctioned ABB Formula E World Championship races since 2018. The award recognizes the standards established by the Kingdom during its years of hosting the electric car racing championship.


Support for the Saudi sports sector has been led by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.


Minister of Sport and President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal has also supported the Kingdom’s Formula E hosting. The Ministry of Sport, Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation, Saudi Motorsport Company, and Sela contributed to the work recognized by the award.
