Saudi Arabia reports 21,403 residency, labor and border violations in Oct. 2–8 inspections

Riyadh, October 11, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior said inspection campaigns conducted October 2–8 recorded 21,403 violations of residency, labor and border regulations.
The ministry reported:
12,439 residency violations
4,650 border security violations
4,314 labor law violations
Border authorities apprehended 1,874 people attempting to enter the Kingdom illegally (45% Yemenis, 54% Ethiopians, 1% other nationalities) and arrested 36 people for attempting to leave illegally.
Authorities arrested 29 individuals for transporting, sheltering or employing violators.A total of 31,344 expatriates (29,840 men; 1,504 women) are undergoing regulatory procedures.
During the period, 23,824 individuals were detained and instructed to contact their embassies or consulates to obtain travel documents; 2,764 were advised to arrange travel; 11,849 were repatriated.
The ministry warned that facilitating illegal entry, transporting, sheltering or assisting violators is punishable by up to 15 years’ imprisonment and fines up to SAR1 million; vehicles and properties used may be confiscated. It urged the public to report violations by calling 911 in Makkah, Riyadh and the Eastern Region, or 999/996 elsewhere in the Kingdom.
