Jeddah governor attends graduation of more than 5,100 Arab Open University students

RIYADH, April 28 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) - Jeddah Governor Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi attended a graduation ceremony for more than 5,100 male and female students of the Arab Open University for 2026 on behalf of Makkah Deputy Governor Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz.
The ceremony was also attended by Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, chairman of the university’s board of trustees, and a number of university officials.
Prince Abdulaziz said graduation marked the culmination of an academic journey built on hard work and the beginning of a greater responsibility to serve the nation and help build the future.
Arab Open University President in Saudi Arabia Ali Al-Shahrani said this year’s graduates numbered more than 5,100, with Saudis accounting for about 62% of the total, while the graduates represented around 50 nationalities.
The ceremony concluded with the graduation march and the presentation of certificates.
