Israel Sends Iron Dome Batteries to the UAE, Reuters Reports

JERUSALEM, May 12 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) - Israel has sent Iron Dome air defence batteries and personnel to the United Arab Emirates to help it defend against Iranian attacks, U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee said on Tuesday, Reuters reported.

The batteries, which typically include radars and missile launchers, were sent to the UAE to support its air defences, a source briefed on the matter told Reuters.

Huckabee said the deployment reflected the relationship between Israel and the UAE under the Abraham Accords, the 2020 agreement that established diplomatic ties between the two countries.

Iran has targeted the UAE during the war that began on February 28 with U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran, Reuters reported.

Israel has also supplied air defence systems to the UAE in the past.
