Iran warns of "heavy strikes" on UAE's Ras al-Khaimah if Iranian Gulf islands attacked

Riyadh, March 21, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Iran warned the United Arab Emirates it would strike the port city of Ras Al Khaimah if its islands in the Gulf continue to come under attack.

“We warn the United Arab Emirates that in the event of any renewed aggression originating from that country against the Iranian islands of Abu Musa and Greater Tunb in the Persian Gulf, Iran’s powerful armed forces will subject Ras Al Khaimah in the UAE to heavy strikes,” a spokesperson for the Iranian military said, according to Iran’s state broadcaster IRIB.
