Egypt Says GCC Security Is Integral to Its National Security

CAIRO, August 12 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Egypt said the security of Gulf Cooperation Council states is an integral part of its national security and reaffirmed its support for measures taken by GCC countries to protect their security and stability.
The position was stated during a meeting between Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and GCC Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed AlBudaiwi.
Abdelatty called for continued coordination between Egypt and the GCC and for an end to military escalation in the region.
AlBudaiwi said the GCC would continue developing its relations with Egypt and strengthening coordination on issues of common interest.
