Egypt Ready to Defend Saudi Arabia if Asked, Sisi Says

CAIRO, October 18 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) - Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said Egypt’s military was prepared to defend Saudi Arabia against Houthi attacks if requested by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the New York Post reported.
Speaking at the Egyptian Military Academy on Saturday, Sisi said Saudi Arabia’s security and stability could not be allowed to come under threat.
“It is inconceivable that we would allow Saudi Arabia, its security or stability to be harmed,” he said.
Egypt’s parliament scheduled an emergency session for Sunday to consider authorization for military efforts in defence of Saudi Arabia, according to the report.
Sisi’s remarks followed deadly attacks on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and strikes on other Saudi infrastructure.
The coalition announced on Saturday that it had intercepted and destroyed four drones in the Riyadh, Eastern and southern regions.
