Saudi Royal Attends Wedding Reception of Brunei Prince




In a gesture of goodwill and strengthening bilateral ties, Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Arabia's Minister of State and Member of the Cabinet, attended the official reception and dinner ceremony held in honor of the wedding of Prince Abdul Mateen, the son of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei Darussalam. The event, held at the Sultanate's Istana Nurul Iman Palace in Bandar Seri Begawan, was a grand affair attended by a distinguished gathering of dignitaries from across the globe.


Prince Turki bin Mohammed represented the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He conveyed the warmest greetings from the Saudi leadership, expressing their deepest wishes for continued progress, prosperity, and happiness for the people of Brunei Darussalam.


The attendance of Prince Turki bin Mohammed at the wedding reception further solidified the close and enduring relationship between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Brunei Darussalam. Both nations share a long history of cordial ties and mutual respect, and their partnership extends to various fields, including trade, investment, cultural exchange, and defense.
