National Weather Alert: Dust-Stirring Winds and Rainfall Expected Across Multiple Regions


The National Center for Meteorology (NCM) has issued a weather warning for several regions across the country.


In Jazan and Asir, moderate to heavy rain accompanied by hail is expected. Similar conditions may also be experienced in Najran, Al-Baha, parts of the Eastern Region, and the southern parts of Riyadh.

Furthermore, strong dust-stirring winds are forecasted to blow over parts of Tabuk, Al-Jouf, and the Northern Borders.


Mariners in the Red Sea should be aware of westerly to northwesterly winds, with speeds of 20-40 km/h in the northern part and 15-35 km/h in the central part. In the southern part, winds will be southwesterly to northwesterly, at speeds of 15-35 km/h. Wave heights may range from one to two metres in the northern part and from half a metre to one and a half metres in the central and southern parts. The sea conditions are expected to be calm to choppy.


In the Arabian Gulf, winds will be southeasterly, reaching 20-40 km/h in the northern part, and southwesterly to southeasterly, reaching 20-50 km/h in the southern part. Waves may range from one to two and a half metres. The sea will be relatively calm to choppy.
