Saudi Crown Prince Receives Somali President in Makkah


His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, received the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, at Al-Safa Palace in Makkah this evening.


The Crown Prince extended a warm welcome to President Mohamud and his delegation. The Somali President expressed his happiness at visiting the Kingdom and his appreciation for the generous hospitality and warm reception he received.


During the meeting, the two sides reviewed their relations, areas of cooperation, and discussed means to boost them. They also discussed several issues of common interest.


The meeting was attended by several key figures from the Saudi government, including Minister of State and Cabinet Member Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, Sport Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz, National Guard Minister Prince Abdullah bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, and Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah. Also present were Minister of State, Cabinet Member, and National Security Advisor Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, Finance Minister Mohammed Al-Jadaan, General Intelligence President Khaled Al-Humaidan, and Saudi Ambassador to Somalia Ahmed Al-Mawlid, along with several senior officials from the Somali side.


This meeting marks a significant step in strengthening the ties between Saudi Arabia and Somalia, and further discussions are anticipated to continue this positive trajectory.
