Riyadh, Saudi Arabia - February 20, 2024

As the Saudi Founding Day approaches, the Ministry of Culture has unveiled an exciting lineup of cultural and historical events set to captivate audiences across the Kingdom from February 21 to 26. The annual celebration, which commemorates the establishment of the Saudi state by Imam Muhammad bin Saud in 1727, aims to honor the nation's rich heritage and the visionary leadership that shaped its history.

The festivities will kick off with the much-anticipated Foundation Nights on February 21 and 22 at the Abu Bakr Salem Stage in the Boulevard City, Riyadh. Promising a mesmerizing journey through time, the event will feature poetry recitals and musical performances, offering attendees a glimpse into the cultural tapestry that defines Saudi Arabia.

Following the Foundation Nights, the Symphony of the Beginning will take center stage on February 25 and 26, also at the Abu Bakr Salem Stage. This remarkable event will showcase performances by some of the kingdom's most prominent contemporary poets, accompanied by the National Orchestra, creating an immersive experience that celebrates the nation's artistic heritage.

One of the highlights of the celebrations is the History Walk, a parade of floats representing Saudi Arabia's deep-rooted values and historical milestones. With 19 scenes spanning from 1727 to the present day, the History Walk offers a compelling visual narrative of the kingdom's journey towards progress and prosperity.

Adding to the spectacle, attendees can look forward to a musical theater performance and a dazzling drone show, ensuring a memorable start to the festivities.

In a bid to engage audiences beyond the capital, the Ministry of Culture will also launch the Founding Village, a traveling exhibition that will visit 14 cities and governorates across the Kingdom. From Madinah to Jeddah, the Founding Village will offer immersive experiences designed to resurrect Saudi Arabia's historical narratives and celebrate its cultural legacy over the past 300 years.

These events underscore the Ministry of Culture's commitment to honoring pivotal moments in Saudi history and fostering a sense of pride in the nation's heritage.
