Cabinet Session Chaired by HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman: A Focus on Regional Security, Women’s Empowerment, and Domestic Development


In a Cabinet session held in Jeddah today, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, expressed gratitude for the successful hosting of millions of Umrah performers and worshippers during Ramadan. The Crown Prince attributed this success to Allah’s grace and the leadership of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, as well as the concerted efforts of state agencies.

The Crown Prince also briefed the Cabinet on a message from the Ethiopian Prime Minister, focusing on strengthening bilateral relations and exploring cooperation avenues.


Minister of Media Salman bin Yousef Al-Dossary stated that the Cabinet’s discussions centered on fostering cooperation with various countries and organizations to achieve stability, prosperity, and sustainable development.


The Cabinet endorsed the GCC’s Vision for Regional Security, aiming to maintain regional stability, promote prosperity, and contribute to international peace and security.

Saudi Arabia’s selection to chair the 69th session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) in 2025 was seen as a testament to the Kingdom’s commitment to women’s rights and empowerment.


On the domestic front, the Cabinet reviewed the outcomes of the 31st annual meeting of the governors of the regions, highlighting the state’s dedication to comprehensive development and improved services for citizens and residents.


The Cabinet acknowledged the state’s successful efforts in creating job opportunities and training programs for young Saudis, contributing to a record-low national unemployment rate of 7.7% in Q4 of 2023.


The Cabinet reaffirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to preserving and restoring historical sites to achieve Vision 2030 goals and showcase the country’s rich heritage. This includes the completion of a project to support and protect 56 buildings in the Jeddah Historic District.


The Cabinet also issued several decisions, including approving memoranda of understanding concerning political consultations with the Dominican Republic, justice cooperation with North Macedonia and Comoros, and encouraging direct investment with San Marino.
