Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (February 26, 2024): In a high-level meeting held today in Riyadh, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, engaged in discussions with Vyacheslav Volodin, Speaker of the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
The primary focus of the meeting was to explore avenues for strengthening bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Russian Federation, with particular emphasis placed on fostering enhanced cooperation between their respective legislative bodies.
Furthermore, the discussions encompassed a comprehensive review of regional and international developments of shared interest, reflecting the commitment of both nations to engage in constructive dialogue on matters of mutual concern.
The meeting was attended by a distinguished delegation from Saudi Arabia, including His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, Minister of Energy; His Royal Highness Prince Abdullah bin Bandar, Minister of the National Guard; Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh, Speaker of the Shura Council; Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, Minister of State, Cabinet Member, and National Security Advisor; and Mr. Abdulrahman Al-Ahmad, Saudi Ambassador to the Russian Federation. The Speaker of the State Duma was also accompanied by his own delegation.
