Royal Philanthropy: King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud and HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud Contribute SAR70 Million to National Charitable Campaign

In an act of significant magnanimity, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, have bestowed a donation of SAR70 million upon the National Campaign for Charitable Work. His Majesty the King has contributed SAR40 million, whilst His Royal Highness the Crown Prince has donated SAR30 million, underscoring their unwavering commitment to the promotion of charitable activities within the Kingdom.

This year signifies the fourth instance of the National Platform for Charitable Work, colloquially known as Ehsan, executing the campaign. The Chairman of the Ehsan Supervisory Committee, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, expressed his deepest appreciation to His Majesty the King and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince for their ceaseless and munificent donations, which he asserts are instrumental to the advancement of charitable work in the Kingdom.

The Ehsan platform, bolstered by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), operates in a digital capacity, thereby ensuring the professional and accountable administration of its work. The platform is subject to the scrutiny of 13 government agencies, thereby institutionalizing charitable work and assuring the prompt delivery and appropriate utilization of donations. A Sharia committee is tasked with the oversight of Ehsan’s activities to ensure adherence to Islamic Sharia.

Donations can be made via the platform’s application and website, or by dialing 8001247000 to obtain the bank accounts designated for this purpose. Contributions from individuals, governmental bodies, private corporations, and non-profit entities are all warmly welcomed. Donations serve as a testament to solidarity with fellow human beings and the performance of charitable works, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan.

This munificent act by the Saudi Royals underscores the Kingdom’s unwavering commitment to charitable work and the welfare of its citizenry.
