Red Sea Global and Hyundai Motor Group Forge Partnership for Eco-Friendly Mobility Solutions

Red Sea Global (RSG), the developer behind the luxury tourist destinations The Red Sea and AMAALA, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Hyundai Motor Group. The partnership aims to deploy eco-friendly mobility solutions at RSG’s luxury resorts in Saudi Arabia and explore opportunities to implement innovative future mobility solutions.

The signing ceremony, held at the Red Sea Global Headquarters in Riyadh, was attended by RSG CEO John Pagano and Dongkun Lee, head of the Future Growth Strategy Sub-Division at Hyundai Motor Group.

Under the memorandum, RSG and Hyundai Motor Group will explore opportunities in various fields. In the short term, the focus will be on validating and deploying Hyundai Motor Group’s eco-friendly mobility solutions, such as electric battery and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. In the mid to long term, they will explore future mobility solutions, including autonomous vehicles, Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), and maritime vessels.

“Hyundai Motor company is a world leader in sustainable and luxury mobility,” said Pagano. “By working together and integrating its cutting-edge technology and eco-friendly mobility solutions into our destinations, we have the opportunity to continue setting new benchmarks in carbon-neutral operations while exceeding our guests’ expectations for style, comfort, and environmental responsibility.”

Lee emphasized the shared commitment to a sustainable and innovative mobility future and stated the intention to accelerate validations and explore long-term goals to build a greener and smarter ecosystem in the region.

Hyundai Motor Group’s comprehensive eco-friendly business portfolio, ranging from individual mobility solutions to extensive charging infrastructure, provides a wide range of opportunities. The partnership is expected to boost the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 strategy to achieve a net-zero emission society by 2060, accelerating the country’s transition to a green economy.

This collaboration between RSG and Hyundai Motor Group represents a significant step towards sustainable luxury tourism and a greener future.
