How Saudia Is Connecting The Kingdom With The World: Jeddah-Toronto Flights Announced

Saudia, the national airline of Saudi Arabia, has announced that it will launch direct flights between Jeddah and Toronto, Canada, starting from December 2, 2023. The new service is part of the Air Connectivity Program (ACP), which aims to expand Saudia’s international network and connect the Kingdom with the world.

The Jeddah-Toronto route will be operated by Boeing 787 Dreamliner, which can accommodate 298 passengers in two classes: 24 in business and 274 in economy. The flight duration will be approximately 13.5 hours, and the frequency will be six times a week initially, and then reduced to twice a week from January 12, 2024.

Saudia’s vice president of corporate communication, Fahad Bahdailah, said that the new destination is a result of the growing demand for travel between Saudi Arabia and Canada, especially among Saudi students who pursue their education abroad. He added that the airline is preparing dedicate service facilities at Toronto Pearson International Airport to provide a convenient and seamless experience for its guests.

Toronto is the ninth destination that Saudia has added to its network in collaboration with the ACP, which is a joint initiative between the Ministry of Transport, the General Authority of Civil Aviation, and Saudia. The ACP aims to enhance the competitive edge of the Saudi Aviation sector and support the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

Toronto is also the fourth destination that Saudia serves in North America, along with New York, Washington DC, and Los Angeles. The airline offers a total of 11,830 seats per week between Saudi Arabia and North America as of December 2023.
