World Defense Show 2026 to Introduce New Features, Expand Global Participation in Riyadh

Riyadh, February 19, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The World Defense Show (WDS), organized by the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI), has announced new features for its third edition, set to take place in Riyadh from February 8 to 12, 2026. Under the theme “The Future of Defense Integration,” WDS 2026 will showcase the latest advancements in defense technologies across air, land, sea, space, and security.
Building on the success of its previous two editions, WDS 2026 aims to foster greater international collaboration and innovation in defense, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030’s objective to localize 50% of the Kingdom’s defense spending.
The 2026 edition will feature an expanded exhibition area spanning 273,000 m³, including a new fourth hall, reflecting a 58% increase in exhibition space since the inaugural event in 2022. With 65% of exhibition stands already sold, the event is set to be larger than ever, attracting leading global defense companies and stakeholders.

Andrew Pearcey, CEO of WDS, highlighted that the 2026 show will surpass previous editions with greater international participation, expanded exhibition space, and a stronger focus on emerging technologies.

Unmanned Systems Zone: Showcasing the latest advancements in autonomous military technology across all defense domains.
Naval Zone: A specialized area focused on the future of maritime defense, emphasizing its role in global security and economic protection.
Saudi Supply Chain Zone: A new initiative designed to connect Saudi small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with global defense companies, strengthening the Kingdom’s supply chain capabilities.

Pearcey emphasized that WDS 2026 will enhance networking opportunities, facilitate major defense deals, and strengthen collaboration between local and international industry leaders.
