Weather Alert: Strong Winds, Rain, and Hail Expected Across Saudi Arabia

Riyadh, March 10, 2025 – The National Center for Meteorology (NCM) has issued a weather alert warning of gusty winds, rain, and hail expected to affect several regions across Saudi Arabia. The forecast includes the Eastern Region, Riyadh, Qassim, Hail, the Northern Borders, Al-Jouf, Tabuk, Makkah, Al-Baha, Aseer, Jazan, and Najran, with fog likely to form in these areas.

In coastal areas, the Red Sea will experience northerly to northwesterly winds at speeds ranging from 16 to 42 km/h, with waves reaching up to two meters, making sea conditions calm to choppy. Meanwhile, in the Arabian Gulf, winds will be northerly to northeasterly in the northern and central parts, and easterly to northeasterly in the south at speeds of 15 to 50 km/h, with waves exceeding two meters in some areas.

Authorities urge residents to exercise caution, avoid low-lying areas prone to flooding, and stay informed through official weather updates. Maritime travelers are advised to take precautions due to potentially rough sea conditions.
