Weather Alert: Dust-Stirring Winds and Thunderstorms Expected Across Several Regions

Riyadh, May 7, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The National Center for Meteorology has issued a weather forecast warning of dust-stirring winds and unstable weather conditions across parts of the Kingdom.

Dust-laden winds are expected to affect areas of the Eastern Province, Najran, and Riyadh, potentially reducing visibility and impacting outdoor activities.

Thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds are forecast for the regions of Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, Makkah, and Madinah, with the possibility of localized heavy rainfall and sudden wind shifts.

Over the Red Sea, northwesterly to westerly winds will range between 15–40 km/h, with wave heights from 0.5 to 1.5 meters. Sea conditions are expected to remain relatively calm.

In the Arabian Gulf, northwesterly to westerly winds will blow at 10–35 km/h in the northern section, and up to 55 km/h in the central and southern sections, where wave heights may reach three meters. The sea will range from calm to choppy.
