UAE urges immediate de-escalation following U.S. strikes on Iran, says no nuclear impact reported

ABU DHABI, Sunday, June 22 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The United Arab Emirates, which shares a border with Iran and hosts U.S. forces at a base in Abu Dhabi, has called for an “immediate de-escalation” to prevent the region from descending into deeper instability following U.S. strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities.

In a statement issued by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the country urged the international community to intensify efforts to achieve a “comprehensive resolution” that would preserve regional stability.

The statement also emphasized the importance of learning from “the region’s historical experiences and past conflicts” to avoid further escalation.

The call came after Iran threatened retaliation over the U.S. military action targeting its nuclear sites at Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.

Separately, the UAE’s nuclear regulator issued a statement via state news agency WAM, saying it was closely monitoring developments and that its assessments had confirmed no impact to the UAE as a result of the strikes.

The regulator also urged the public to rely on official sources for updates and avoid spreading unverified information or rumors.
