Jeddah, Dec. 30 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The Tariq Abdulhakim Center Museum in historic Jeddah celebrated its first anniversary on Friday under the theme "Heritage Meets the Future in Harmony," drawing a significant turnout of culture, art, and music enthusiasts, as well as families eager to explore its rich offerings.


The celebration underscored the museum's pivotal role in promoting Saudi Arabia's artistic and cultural heritage while strengthening national cultural identity. Visitors were treated to guided tours of the museum, gaining insights into its extensive collection and the legacy of the late musician Tariq Abdulhakim, who dedicated his career to preserving Saudi Arabia’s intangible cultural heritage.


Traditional performances captivated audiences, blending elements of Saudi heritage with a modern presentation. A highlight of the evening was the projection of the museum’s enhanced façade, showcasing intricate details that embody the museum's essence and its commitment to preserving history.


In honor of Tariq Abdulhakim’s contributions, the event included special recognition of Saudi Arabia's intangible cultural heritage elements inscribed on UNESCO's Representative List. Adding to the celebration, Al-Yanbawi band performed traditional music using the Simsimiyya, further immersing visitors in the Kingdom's rich musical traditions.


The museum’s anniversary celebration reinforced its vision of harmonizing heritage with contemporary culture, cementing its position as a beacon for cultural preservation and artistic expression in Saudi Arabia.
