Second Aseer Investment Forum Opens with Focus on Regional Growth and Vision 2030 Goals

Abha, May 27 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Under the patronage of Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Aseer and Chairman of the Aseer Region Development Authority, the second edition of the Aseer Investment Forum opened on Tuesday, drawing participation from senior government officials, investors, and economic experts from within the Kingdom and abroad.

The event, attended by over 1,500 participants, aims to position Aseer as a leading investment destination aligned with the strategic objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. Ministers, private sector leaders, and decision-makers are engaging in key discussions to enhance the investment climate and foster public-private partnerships.

The forum features five main sessions focused on investment opportunities in tourism, technology, infrastructure, and the creative economy. Discussions highlight the role of the Public Investment Fund (PIF) and its affiliated companies in accelerating regional growth, promoting sustainability, and delivering strategic development projects.

Several new projects were unveiled during the forum, signaling a shift toward increased local and international interest in the Aseer Region. Specialized workshops on tourism financing, investor empowerment, regulatory development, and opportunity mapping are also taking place.

An accompanying exhibition showcases regional development projects, while a dedicated space has been set aside for entities supporting entrepreneurship and investment facilitation. Multiple public-private partnership agreements are expected to be signed during the event.

Organizers emphasized that the forum represents a strategic platform for fostering comprehensive and sustainable development, with a focus on equitable investment distribution across Aseer’s governorates, environmental and cultural preservation, and collaborative efforts between government entities and local communities.

The event reinforces the region’s readiness to host major national projects, contributing to the broader Vision 2030 objectives of building a vibrant society, a thriving economy, and enhancing the Kingdom’s global competitiveness.
