SeaWorld Abu Dhabi Launches World’s First Submersible Aquarium Experience ‘SeaSub’

Abu Dhabi, April 30, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – SeaWorld Yas Island, Abu Dhabi—the world’s largest indoor marine life theme park—has officially launched SeaSub, a groundbreaking submersible experience that allows guests to explore the region’s largest multi-species marine life aquarium from a new, immersive perspective.

The SeaSub is the world’s first classed submersible specifically designed, built, and certified for operation within an aquarium setting. It accommodates four guests per tour, alongside SeaWorld Abu Dhabi’s trained pilots, and offers a 30-minute journey descending to depths of more than 20 meters. From within the submersible, guests will be able to observe vibrant and diverse marine life, including sharks, rays, and large schools of fish, in a fully enclosed and controlled underwater environment.

Rob Yordi, General Curator at SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, emphasized the significance of the launch: “Our goal is to make SeaWorld Abu Dhabi a unique and exciting destination. The SeaSub launch forms part of SeaWorld Abu Dhabi’s broader commitment to educational and immersive marine experiences. The park has also recently introduced two new interactive encounters: Discover Scuba Diving, where guests can experience diving without a certification, and Kayak on the Tropical Lagoon, an activity that allows participants to paddle through the dolphin habitat while learning about marine species from the park’s Zoological team.

These initiatives follow the success of existing programs such as SeaVenture, SeaDive, and other popular encounters with marine species including penguins and walruses.
