Saudi-US Investment Forum opens in Riyadh amid Trump visit, highlighting bilateral economic ties

RIYADH, May 14 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The Saudi-US Investment Forum opened on Tuesday at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center in Riyadh, bringing together high-ranking officials and business leaders from both countries.
The event coincides with U.S. President Donald J. Trump’s official visit to Saudi Arabia, the first stop on his international tour.
Saudi Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih delivered the opening address, conveying greetings from the Kingdom’s leadership and emphasizing the depth of U.S.-Saudi ties. He praised the scale and caliber of the participating delegations, noting that the forum reflects more than 90 years of bilateral relations built on trust and shared economic interests.
Al-Falih presented highlights from the 2024 annual report on Saudi Vision 2030, detailing progress in diversifying the Kingdom’s economy and expanding investment across sectors including energy, technology, AI, tourism, healthcare, logistics, and biotechnology.
He stated that global economic shifts and technological advancements present new opportunities for strategic cooperation, calling for sustainable partnerships that leverage the strengths of both economies.
Describing the U.S.-Saudi economic relationship as one of the most important geopolitical connections, Al-Falih affirmed that Vision 2030 has positioned Saudi Arabia as a competitive destination for investment, offering attractive returns and long-term growth prospects.
