Saudi Red Crescent Opens Helipads at Grand Mosque for Emergency Evacuations

MAKKAH, March 24 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — The Saudi Red Crescent Authority has inaugurated two helipads on the grounds of Makkah’s Grand Mosque to facilitate faster emergency medical evacuations, strengthening healthcare services for pilgrims and Umrah performers ahead of the upcoming Hajj season.

The newly launched helipads will allow rapid transport of critical medical cases to specialized hospitals in Makkah and Jeddah.

In addition, the Grand Mosque's emergency hospital is fully equipped with intensive care units, medical laboratories, radiology services, an in-house pharmacy, and dedicated isolation units for infectious diseases, ensuring comprehensive medical support for worshippers.
