Saudi National Orchestra to Perform at Palace of Versailles in Paris on September 5

Riyadh, August 19, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Under the patronage of Minister of Culture and Chairman of the Music Commission’s Board of Directors Prince Bader bin Abdullah bin Farhan, the Music Commission announced that the “Marvels of Saudi Orchestra” concert will take place on September 5 at the Palace of Versailles in Paris, one of Europe’s prominent cultural and historical landmarks.
The concert is aimed at strengthening cultural and artistic cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the French Republic, highlighting civilizational exchange, and underscoring the Music Commission’s role in supporting the international presence of Saudi song.
The Saudi National Orchestra and Choir will present works that highlight the Kingdom’s cultural heritage and artistic diversity. The Orchestra of the Royal Opera of the Palace of Versailles will perform French pieces in line with the historical heritage of the venue. A joint musical segment will blend Saudi and French traditions. The Theatre and Performing Arts Commission will also present traditional Saudi performances, including Al Khobeiti, Al Majroor, Al Rifaihi, and Al Khathwah.
Paris is the eighth stop in the global tour of the Saudi National Orchestra and Choir, organized by the Music Commission, and marks a return to the French capital following its inaugural performance at Théâtre du Châtelet. Previous stops have included the National Theatre in Mexico City, the Metropolitan Opera House in New York, Central Hall Westminster in London, Tokyo Opera City, the King Fahd Cultural Centre in Riyadh, and the Sydney Opera House.
The concert at the Palace of Versailles reflects the universal dimension of music that transcends geography and language, presenting an artistic dialogue with French culture and affirming the role of the arts in advancing communication between civilizations.
