Saudi Minister of Defense and U.S. National Security Adviser Hold Discussions on Strategic Relations and Regional Issues

In a significant diplomatic meeting held at the White House, Saudi Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz met with U.S. National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan. The discussions, which took place on a foundation of long-standing strategic relations between the two countries, encompassed a range of regional and international developments.

Foremost among the issues addressed during the meeting were the ongoing developments in Gaza and its surrounding areas, with a particular focus on the international efforts aimed at addressing these matters. The Saudi Minister of Defense emphasized the critical necessity for a ceasefire in Gaza, ensuring the protection of civilians, halting forced displacements, and facilitating unhindered access for humanitarian aid. Furthermore, both sides agreed on the importance of working toward the restoration of the path to peace, thereby enabling the Palestinian people to attain their legitimate rights and the establishment of their independent state, with East Jerusalem as its capital. These objectives aim to achieve a just and comprehensive peace in the region.

In addition to discussions about the situation in Gaza, the meeting also delved into the latest developments in Yemen, including the outcomes of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's efforts to resolve the Yemeni crisis. The primary objective remains the attainment of a comprehensive and enduring peace that guarantees security and stability for Yemen and its people.

The high-level diplomatic meeting witnessed the presence of notable officials from both sides, including Saudi Ambassador to the United States of America Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Head of the Kingdom's Mission to the United States Prince Musab bin Mohammed Al-Farhan, and several other officials. This exchange underscores the commitment of both nations to maintaining and further strengthening their bilateral relations, while also addressing key regional issues of mutual concern.
