Saudi industrial production rises 3.1% in April 2025 – GASTAT

RIYADH, June 10 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Saudi Arabia’s Industrial Production Index (IPI) rose by 3.1% in April 2025 compared to the same month in 2024, driven by growth in manufacturing and oil-related activities, the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) said on Tuesday.

According to the report, the mining and quarrying sub-index increased by 0.2% year-on-year, while the manufacturing sector recorded a 7.4% rise.

The sub-index for water supply, sewage, waste management, and treatment activities grew by 8.8%, while electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply activities declined by 0.2% over the same period.

The index for oil-related activities increased by 4.3% year-on-year, while non-oil activities rose slightly by 0.1%, GASTAT reported.

The Industrial Production Index is issued monthly and reflects relative changes in production volumes based on data from the Industrial Production Survey, which monitors a sample of establishments in key sectors, including mining, manufacturing, utilities, and waste management.
