Saudi Embassy in France Hosts Symposium Celebrating Women's Empowerment

Paris, March 9, 2025 – The Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in France marked International Women’s Day with a symposium titled "Saudi Women on International Women's Day: Empowerment and Achievements." The event highlighted the progress and contributions of Saudi women across various fields, showcasing the Kingdom’s commitment to gender equality and empowerment.

The distinguished panel featured Shura Council members Raedah Abunayan and Dr. Auhoud Al-Shehail, alongside Dr. Sarah Al-Faisal, a Human Rights Commission Council member. Representing France, Amelia Lakrafi and Estelle Youssouffa, Vice-Presidents of the Saudi-French Friendship Committee in Parliament, participated in the discussions.

The panelists shared insights into Saudi women’s growing role in leadership, governance, and human rights, emphasizing the reforms and policies that have enabled their empowerment. Discussions underscored the Kingdom’s progressive approach to gender inclusivity, aligning with Vision 2030 and ongoing national initiatives.

The symposium gathered French ambassadors, diplomats, parliamentarians, representatives of women’s organizations, and influential figures from French society, fostering dialogue on the global role of women and the significant strides made by Saudi women in various fields.
