Saudi Defense Minister Meets Yemeni Prime Minister in Riyadh to Discuss Regional Developments

Riyadh, May 7, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz met with Yemeni Prime Minister Salem Saleh bin Braik in Riyadh, where the two sides reviewed bilateral relations and discussed the latest developments in Yemen and the broader region.


At the beginning of the meeting, Prince Khalid conveyed greetings and congratulations from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to the newly appointed Yemeni prime minister. The Kingdom’s leadership expressed its sincere wishes for security, stability, and prosperity for the Yemeni people.


In response, Prime Minister bin Braik extended his appreciation and greetings to King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, affirming Yemen’s commitment to strengthening ties with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.


During the meeting, the two officials reviewed the long-standing fraternal relations between the two countries and discussed ways to enhance cooperation across multiple sectors. They also addressed ongoing developments in Yemen, regional stability, and the broader implications for Gulf and Arab security.


Prince Khalid reaffirmed the Kingdom’s steadfast support for the Yemeni government, emphasizing Saudi Arabia’s continued assistance in helping Yemen meet the economic and development aspirations of its people.


The meeting is part of ongoing Saudi diplomatic efforts to support regional stability and reconstruction in Yemen, in line with the Kingdom’s long-term commitment to peace, humanitarian assistance, and developmental support in the region.
