DIRIYAH, May 14 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, accompanied U.S. President Donald J. Trump on a cultural tour of Diriyah on Tuesday evening, highlighting the Kingdom’s historical roots and vision for cultural preservation.
The visit included a stop at At-Turaif Historic District, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the birthplace of the Saudi state. The two leaders observed a traditional Saudi folk performance and posed for a commemorative photograph in front of Salwa Palace, the former seat of governance during the First Saudi State.
As part of the tour, officials also presented the Diriyah Project, a major development initiative aimed at transforming the historic site into a global cultural and heritage destination.
The visit underscores the Kingdom’s emphasis on cultural diplomacy and its efforts to promote Diriyah as a cornerstone of Saudi Arabia’s national identity and Vision 2030 strategy.
