Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Reassures Cabinet on King Salman’s Health
Riyadh, October 8, 2024 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman offered reassurance regarding the health of King Salman during a cabinet meeting on Tuesday, state media reported. The Crown Prince shared that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques is receiving medical care and expressed prayers for his swift recovery.
On Sunday, the Royal Court announced that the 88-year-old King would undergo medical tests for lung inflammation. “The Crown Prince reassures everyone of the health of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, praying to God Almighty to bless him with a speedy recovery and grant him good and sound health,” the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on X.
King Salman received treatment for a similar condition in May, resuming his duties a week later by chairing a cabinet meeting via video conference, with footage broadcast on state television. The current medical tests are being conducted under the supervision of the Royal Clinics, with updates on the King’s condition expected in the coming days.
