Saudi Cabinet Reviews Palestine Conference Outcomes, Approves Multiple International Agreements

NEOM, August 6, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Saudi Arabia’s Cabinet, chaired by Crown Prince and Prime Minister His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, convened today in NEOM to review international messages, economic developments, and approve a series of cooperation agreements with foreign governments and institutions.


The Cabinet was briefed on messages received by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH the Crown Prince from President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. It also reviewed outcomes of the Crown Prince’s recent meeting with Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait.


Ministers highlighted the positive results of the High-Level International Conference on the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine, co-chaired by the Kingdom and the French Republic. The Cabinet noted recent announcements by multiple countries of their intention to recognize the State of Palestine, affirming international support for the two-state solution.


The Cabinet renewed Saudi Arabia’s call for all UN member states to endorse the final document issued by the conference, describing it as a comprehensive framework for implementing the two-state solution and contributing to regional peace and security.


Minister of Media Salman Al-Dossary stated following the session that the Cabinet reviewed the Kingdom’s ongoing humanitarian support to the Palestinian people, including continued dispatch of medical, food, and shelter aid to the Gaza Strip through Saudi land, air, and sea bridges.


The Cabinet strongly condemned repeated provocative actions by Israeli officials at Al-Aqsa Mosque, reiterating Saudi Arabia’s call for the international community to halt such violations of international law.


On the domestic front, ministers reviewed Saudi Arabia’s latest economic indicators, including a 3.9% year-on-year GDP growth in the second quarter of 2025. The growth was attributed to the positive performance of all sectors, particularly non-oil activities.


The Cabinet welcomed the 2025 International Monetary Fund (IMF) Article IV Consultation report, which underlined the Kingdom’s macroeconomic strength, resilience to global economic challenges, and effective inflation containment.

The Cabinet noted the launch of new industrial projects in the Eastern Region as part of the Kingdom’s efforts to boost local content and support a competitive investment environment aligned with Vision 2030.


Cabinet members also commended the Healthy Cities Program, after the World Health Organization recognized Jeddah and Madinah as the largest healthy cities in the Middle East, bringing the national total to 16.


In addition, the Cabinet praised the Quality of Life Program for contributing to infrastructure improvements and cultural, entertainment, and sports development.

Environmental achievements were also reviewed, including the rehabilitation of over 500,000 hectares of degraded land and the planting of more than 151 million trees under the Saudi Green Initiative.


The Cabinet concluded the session by approving the following decisions:


  1. Authorized the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources to sign an MoU with Mongolia on mineral resources cooperation.

  2. Approved an MoU on health and medical sciences with China’s National Health Commission.

  3. Authorized the Minister of Finance and ZATCA Chairman to sign an MoU with New Zealand Customs on administrative assistance.

  4. Approved an MoU with Oman to develop non-oil exports.

  5. Approved an MoU on competition protection with Kuwait.

  6. Approved an MoU on auditing and accounting with Pakistan’s Office of the Auditor General.

  7. Approved an MoU on technical and vocational training with SESRIC.

  8. Approved a memorandum of cooperation between Darah and the Siam Society of Thailand.

  9. Approved the GCC Strategy for Combating Drugs (2025–2028), adopted at the 41st GCC Ministers of Interior Meeting.

  10. Approved a two-semester academic calendar for general schools in the academic year 1447/1448 AH.
