Saudi Cabinet discusses international partnerships, regional stability, and strategic agreements

RIYADH, May 12 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Cabinet session held on Monday in Riyadh, where discussions focused on foreign relations, regional developments, and international cooperation.
The Crown Prince briefed the Cabinet on recent consultations with leaders of several brotherly and friendly nations, addressing bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest.
The Cabinet welcomed the upcoming official visit of U.S. President Donald J. Trump to the Kingdom, expressing optimism that the visit will further strengthen strategic ties and expand cooperation across various sectors.
In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency, Acting Minister of Media Dr. Essam bin Saad bin Saeed said the Cabinet reviewed regional and global developments, reiterating the Kingdom’s condemnation of Israeli actions in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories, and reaffirming its firm support for the Palestinian cause.
The Cabinet also welcomed the ceasefire agreement between Pakistan and India, affirming Saudi Arabia’s support for efforts to promote long-term peace between the two nations.
In addition, ministers highlighted the Kingdom’s upcoming hosting of the Munich Security Conference Leaders’ Meeting in the fourth quarter of 2025, reflecting its commitment to multilateral dialogue and global peace.
The Cabinet noted Saudi Arabia’s recent election as the Arab Group’s representative to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Council, underscoring the country’s leadership in aviation and its adherence to international safety and operational standards.
Several international agreements were also approved during the session, including:
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Italy for cooperation in the field of energy.
A general cooperation agreement with the Kingdom of Eswatini.
Authorization for the Minister of Foreign Affairs to negotiate a general cooperation agreement with Vanuatu.
An MoU with the United States in the field of education and training.
An MoU with China on regulating drugs, medical devices, and cosmetics.
An MoU between the Saudi Human Rights Commission and its counterpart in Tajikistan.
An MoU between the Presidency of State Security and the Omani General Secretariat for Communications and Coordination on combating terrorism and financing crimes.
An MoU between the Saudi Press Agency and the Senegalese Press Agency for cooperation and news exchange.
The Cabinet concluded by reviewing other agenda items and issuing a series of administrative decisions in support of national development priorities.
