Saudi Businesses Urged to Submit VAT Returns by November 30 to Avoid Fines

Riyadh, November 21 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Saudi Arabia's Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has reminded businesses to submit their Value Added Tax (VAT) returns for October by November 30 or face penalties.


VAT Compliance Requirements


Businesses subject to VAT, particularly those with annual supplies exceeding SAR 40 million ($10.7 million), are required to submit their returns on time. VAT is an indirect tax applied to most goods and services supplied or acquired by businesses in the Kingdom, with specific exceptions.


Late Filing Penalties


ZATCA has warned that late submissions will result in fines ranging from 5% to 25% of the tax amount due. The authority encourages timely filing through its official website, zatca.gov.sa, or via the ZATCA mobile app.
