Saudi Arabia to host cultural program in Venice during 2025 Architecture Biennale

VENICE, May 7 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Culture will organize an extensive cultural program at the Abbazia building in Venice, Italy, from May 10 to November 23, 2025, as part of the Kingdom’s participation in the 19th Venice Architecture Biennale.

The initiative aims to showcase the diversity of Saudi culture and its contemporary creative movement, while contributing to international discussions on cultural heritage preservation and artistic innovation.

According to a press release from the Ministry, the events will cover several cultural sectors, including architecture, design, heritage, visual arts, fashion, and culinary arts. The program will also feature panel discussions and workshops in traditional crafts, offering global audiences insight into the depth and distinctiveness of Saudi cultural identity.

The ground floor of the two-story Abbazia venue will host an exhibition titled Rooted Transience, presented as part of the official collateral events of the Biennale. The exhibition will display the winning design of the AlMusalla Prize 2025.

The upper floor will include a fully equipped conference hall for cultural events and collaborations with Italian and international institutions. A curated retail area will also feature artisanal Saudi products, including traditional Saudi coffee and dates.

The Ministry stated that its participation underscores efforts to enhance Saudi Arabia’s cultural presence internationally and to highlight the Kingdom’s heritage, artistic excellence, and ongoing cultural renaissance.
