Saudi Arabia’s E-Commerce Sales via Mada Cards Hit Record SAR69.3 Billion in Q1 2025 – SPA

Riyadh, July 4 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – E-commerce sales in Saudi Arabia through Mada cards reached their highest-ever levels during the first quarter of 2025, totaling more than SAR69.3 billion, according to the Saudi Central Bank’s statistical bulletin for May, carried by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).


The figure represents an annual growth of 56%, an increase of approximately SAR24.9 billion compared to the same period in 2024, when sales reached SAR44.4 billion. The number of transactions executed via Mada cards exceeded 370 million during the first quarter.


Quarterly growth was recorded at 26%, with Q1 2025 sales rising by about SAR14.1 billion compared to SAR55.2 billion in the fourth quarter of 2024.


On a monthly basis, e-commerce sales via Mada reached approximately SAR27.4 billion in May 2025, an 18% increase from April’s SAR23.3 billion. Transactions in May exceeded 147 million.


Cumulatively, the data showed growth of 31.3% for the period January to May 2025, an increase of about SAR6.5 billion compared to sales of SAR20.9 billion recorded in January.
