Saudi Arabia, Netherlands Sign SAR428 Million in Agreements to Advance Environmental and Agricultural Cooperation

The Hague, June 12, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of the Netherlands have signed 27 agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoUs) aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation in the environment, water, and agriculture sectors, with investments exceeding SAR428 million.
The agreements were signed during an official visit by the Vice Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Eng. Mansour bin Hilal Al Mushaiti, to the Netherlands from June 10 to 12. The signing ceremony was held in the presence of senior officials from the Saudi ministry, as well as public and private sector representatives from both countries.
The deals involve collaborations between Saudi and Dutch entities and companies, focusing on the development and localization of advanced technologies in environmental sustainability, water management, and agricultural production.
According to the ministry, the visit supports the Kingdom’s strategy to enhance the global competitiveness of its agricultural sector, expand the production and export of local agricultural products, and boost bilateral trade with the Netherlands. The agreements also align with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which seeks to strengthen international partnerships and support sustainable economic growth through innovation and investment.
