Saudi Arabia Launches TOURISE Platform to Redefine Global Tourism Industry

Riyadh, May 23 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khateeb on Wednesday announced the official launch of TOURISE, a new global tourism platform aimed at shaping the future of the industry through innovation, sustainability, and cross-sector collaboration.

The initiative will debut with TOURISE 2025, scheduled to take place from November 11 to 13 in Riyadh. The summit will convene tourism leaders, investors, and experts from across the public and private sectors to develop strategic solutions supporting long-term sector growth.

“Tourism is now one of the most dynamic and interconnected sectors in the global economy,” Al-Khateeb said. “It requires forward-looking adaptation to evolving visitor expectations, technological advancements, and the growing demand for sustainability and inclusivity.”

TOURISE 2025 will host panels, discussions, and networking sessions designed to promote global cooperation and creative thinking. The platform also aims to build strategic partnerships and foster innovation across multiple disciplines by engaging visionaries, policy leaders, and entrepreneurs.

A key feature of the platform will be the TOURISE 2025 Awards, which will recognize excellence in categories such as sustainability, digital transformation, heritage preservation, and human capacity development. Nominations will be accepted through the official TOURISE Awards portal, and winners will be announced during the summit in Riyadh.

TOURISE will continue its work year-round through digital collaboration, specialized working groups, and public-private partnerships to drive long-term impact beyond the event. The platform is part of Saudi Arabia’s broader strategy to establish a leadership role in the global tourism sector.

Saudi Arabia welcomed nearly 30 million international tourists in 2024, with the tourism sector contributing 5% to national GDP, according to government data.
