Riyadh, July 1, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced that more than 190,000 Umrah visas have been issued to pilgrims from outside the Kingdom since the start of the Umrah season for the Hijri year 1447 AH.

The ministry declared the official start of the Umrah season on Tuesday, 14 Dhu Al-Hijjah 1446 AH, with visa applications made available through the “Nusuk” platform. The platform is part of broader efforts to enhance services for pilgrims under Saudi Vision 2030.

The issuance of Umrah permits began on Wednesday, 15 Dhu Al-Hijjah, via the “Nusuk” app, which serves as a unified digital platform for government services for pilgrims and visitors. The platform enables users to apply for permits and access other digital services related to the Umrah experience.

The increase in Umrah visa applications follows a Hajj season that was marked by streamlined procedures, improved performance and upgraded technical infrastructure aimed at enhancing the overall experience for pilgrims.
