Munich, Germany, June 2, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The international transport and logistics exhibition "Transport Logistic 2025" opened on Monday in Munich, Germany, with the participation of the Saudi pavilion, organized through a strategic collaboration between the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP) and the "Invest Saudi" initiative.
The Saudi pavilion brings together over 22 entities from the Kingdom's industry, transport, and logistics services ecosystems, alongside the Ministry of Investment.
On the first day of the exhibition, five significant agreements were signed to enhance collaboration within the logistics sector, improve supply-chain efficiency, and attract high-quality investments. Six specialized workshops were held, addressing developments in infrastructure, digital transformation, special economic zones, logistics integration, and human capital development.
The main session, titled "It's Happening: Saudi Logistics Now," featured NIDLP Chief Executive Eng. Suliman Almazroua, who underscored the Kingdom’s transformation journey in logistics, emphasizing the creation of interconnected systems driven by government-private sector partnerships, in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030.
Workshop sessions included:
Sector Enablers: Focused on talent development and strengthening the logistics ecosystem, with participation from Saudi Logistics Academy Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Alabdulkarim, NIDLP Deputy Chief Executive for Logistics Services Eng. Mousa Albarqi, and Ministry of Transport and Logistics Services Assistant Deputy Minister Nouf Alfares.
Ports and Investments: Addressed Maersk’s investment in Jeddah Islamic Port to enhance logistics services and operational capabilities, featuring Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) Vice President Abdullah Al-Munif and Maersk Logistics Hub in Jeddah Head Eng. Peter Knapp.
Internal workshops at the Saudi pavilion highlighted the strategic role of logistics as a key driver of economic development, presented national case studies on empowering logistics hubs, advancing regulatory frameworks, and expanding the localization of specialized talent. The sessions reinforced the Kingdom’s position as a global logistics hub connecting three continents.
Activities at the Saudi pavilion will continue in the coming days, including bilateral meetings, further agreement signings, and interactive workshops. These efforts form part of the Kingdom’s ongoing work to showcase progress in logistics and transport, strengthen supply-chain investment, and advance the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
