MILAN, May 14 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Saudi Arabia has made its first appearance at the Triennale Milano International Exhibition, unveiling on Tuesday a national pavilion titled “Maghras: a Farm for Experimentation” as part of the event’s 24th edition.
Curated by Lulu Almana and Sara Al Omran, the exhibition showcases the transformation of Al-Ahsa Oasis, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the world’s largest natural oases, located in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province.
The title “Maghras” refers to a traditional unit of land measurement, defined by the space between four date palms. The exhibition features original artworks, research-based installations, and cultural programming that explore the relationship between land, agriculture, memory, and environmental resilience.
Through this debut, the Kingdom contributes to the global dialogue on the intersection of culture, sustainability, and heritage preservation, reinforcing its commitment to international cultural engagement.
