Riyadh, May 22 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia issued a statement on Wednesday condemning in the strongest terms the gunfire incident carried out by Israeli occupation forces targeting a diplomatic delegation visiting Jenin Camp in the occupied West Bank.
The delegation reportedly included ambassadors and representatives from both Arab and foreign countries. No injuries were reported, but the incident has drawn widespread international condemnation.
The Kingdom called on the international community, particularly the permanent members of the United Nations Security Council, to take immediate steps to halt Israel’s repeated violations against civilians, diplomatic missions, and humanitarian organizations operating in the occupied Palestinian territories.
The statement also renewed Saudi Arabia’s demand for the activation of international accountability mechanisms in response to what it described as ongoing crimes committed by Israeli forces and continued breaches of international law and international humanitarian law.
The attack on the delegation occurred amid heightened tensions and increased scrutiny of Israel’s actions in both Gaza and the West Bank. Several European governments and the Palestinian Authority have also condemned the incident and urged an independent investigation.
