Ruler of Sharjah Arrives in Muscat for Meeting with Sultan of Oman and Participation in Muscat International Book Fair

Muscat, April 24 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, arrived on Thursday in Muscat for an official visit to the Sultanate of Oman. The visit includes a scheduled meeting with His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq and participation in key events at the Muscat International Book Fair.

Upon arrival at the Royal Airport, His Highness was received by Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court. The reception underscored the strength of the historical ties between the United Arab Emirates and the Sultanate of Oman.

Accompanying His Highness is a senior delegation that includes Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Book Authority; Mohammed bin Nekhaira Al Dhaheri, UAE Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman; Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Owais, Chairman of the Department of Culture; Ahmed bin Rakkad Al Ameri, CEO of the Sharjah Book Authority; Mohammed Obaid Al Zaabi, Head of the Department of Protocol and Hospitality; Mohamed Hassan Khalaf, Director General of Sharjah Broadcasting Authority; and Tariq Saeed Allay, Director General of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau.

The visit reflects Sharjah’s continued commitment to fostering regional cooperation, cultural dialogue, and literary exchange. His Highness is expected to attend a number of engagements at the Muscat International Book Fair, in line with Sharjah’s broader efforts to support publishing, knowledge sharing, and the advancement of Arab literature.
