Riyadh to Host Second Edition of Saudi Fashion Awards on May 22

Riyadh, May 19 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — The Fashion Commission announced it will host the second edition of the Saudi Fashion Awards on May 22 in Riyadh, highlighting the Kingdom’s growing influence in the global fashion and beauty industries.

The event, launched in 2024, aims to advance the regional creative sector and enhance Saudi Arabia’s presence in the international fashion economy. It brings together designers, entrepreneurs, stylists, and other creative professionals contributing to the Kingdom’s evolving cultural and commercial identity.

“Riyadh is hosting this inspiring event as it continues to shine as a leading destination for fashion and beauty, and as a hub for the future of creative industries in the region,” said Burak Cakmak, CEO of the Fashion Commission.

Cakmak praised the determination and creativity of a new generation of Saudi talent redefining fashion standards both locally and globally.

This year’s edition will feature an expanded awards program, introducing several new categories, including Fashion Stylist of the Year, Fashion Photographer of the Year, Menswear Brand of the Year, Womenswear Brand of the Year, Jewelry Brand of the Year, and Model of the Year. The event will also present four international awards sponsored by Women’s Wear Daily (WWD), recognizing excellence in design and innovation in the global beauty and fashion sectors.

The Saudi Fashion Awards are part of broader national efforts to promote innovation, sustainability, and craftsmanship within the Kingdom’s creative economy, in line with Vision 2030 goals to diversify economic growth and strengthen cultural industries.
