Over 820,000 International Pilgrims Arrive in Saudi Arabia for Hajj 1446

Riyadh, May 23 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — The General Directorate of Passports announced on Friday that a total of 820,658 pilgrims from abroad have arrived in Saudi Arabia for the 1446 AH Hajj season through the Kingdom’s international air, land, and sea ports.

According to official figures, 782,358 pilgrims entered through airports, while 35,478 arrived via land crossings, and 2,822 through seaports.

The directorate emphasized its continued efforts to streamline entry procedures, noting that all border facilities have been equipped with advanced technical systems and staffed with highly qualified, multilingual personnel to assist pilgrims upon arrival.

“We are fully committed to facilitating the entry process for all pilgrims and ensuring that their journey into the Kingdom is smooth, efficient, and respectful of their spiritual mission,” the statement said.

The directorate’s preparations are part of a broader nationwide operation to manage the annual pilgrimage, which draws millions of worshippers from around the world and remains one of the largest religious gatherings globally.
