National Center for Meteorology Issues Weather Forecast: Thunderstorms, Dust-Stirring Winds Expected Across Several Regions

Riyadh, May 30, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The National Center for Meteorology (NCM) has forecast thunderstorms accompanied by active winds and hail over parts of the highlands in Jazan and Aseer regions.


The NCM also reported that dust-stirring winds will persist across parts of the Eastern Region, Riyadh Region, and Najran Region. The dust impact is expected to extend into eastern parts of the southwestern highlands, as well as parts of the Makkah and Madinah regions.


According to the marine forecast, surface winds over the Red Sea will be northerly to northwesterly at speeds of 16 to 36 km/h, with wave heights ranging between 0.5 and 1.5 meters. Sea conditions will be light to moderate.


In the Arabian Gulf, winds will also be northerly to northwesterly at 20 to 40 km/h, with wave heights between 1 and 2 meters, and moderate sea conditions expected.


The NCM continues to monitor developments and has urged the public to exercise caution and follow official updates.
