Nad Al Sheba Sports Tournament: Over 4,300 Runners to Compete in Road Race at Meydan Racecourse

Dubai, March 7, 2025 – More than 4,300 male and female runners of various nationalities and ages will participate in the highly anticipated road race on Saturday evening, as part of the 12th edition of the Nad Al Sheba Sports Tournament.
Held annually during the holy month of Ramadan, the Nad Al Sheba Sports Tournament is the largest sporting event of its kind, hosted at the Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex under the slogan “Limitless Capabilities.”
Race Categories and Schedule
The running competitions will begin at 9 PM on Saturday, March 8, at Meydan Racecourse, featuring races in multiple categories and distances:
10km Open Category: Open to both male and female citizens, with participation from national teams, clubs, police teams, armed forces, civil defence, fitness trainers, and professional athletes.
5km Community Race: Open to male and female citizens in the community category, with a special category for senior citizens and residents (50 years and above).
4km Junior Race: Open to boys and girls aged 11-12 years and 13-14 years.
The UAE Athletics Federation will oversee and officiate the race, ensuring adherence to international rules and regulations.
UAE Advances to Padel Team Final
In addition to the road race, the UAE advanced to the final of the teams' padel competition after a hard-fought 2-1 victory against Kuwait. The UAE team will now face the Netherlands in the final showdown.
