In a move aimed at enhancing electronic transactions and providing smart e-solutions for citizens and residents, the Ministry of Interior, in collaboration with the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA), has introduced new e-services through its Absher electronic platform.
The launch ceremony took place at the Officers’ Club in Riyadh on Tuesday, under the patronage of Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz.
Lieutenant General Suleiman bin Abdulaziz Al Yahya, the Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Civil Affairs, attended the inauguration ceremony.
Among the newly introduced services is the ability to update the family register and enable adoptive families to benefit from ID services via the Absher platform. Additionally, a service has been introduced for finalizing military personnel’s services through the government section on the platform, along with a service called the virtual civil affairs office.
The Ministry of Interior has also highlighted several other developed services, including the digital ID service and the digital family register service. Improvements have been made to the family register and newborn registration services in terms of delivery payment and recovery procedures, as well as the Tahseen service.
Beneficiaries can access their Absher accounts to learn more about the procedures and requirements related to the new and enhanced services, stated the agency.
These steps reflect the ministry’s commitment to advancing electronic transactions and providing efficient and high-quality services to both citizens and residents. The introduction of these new e-services marks a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to modernize and streamline government processes in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
